About Our Farm

Los Arboles Miniature Horse Farm was established in 1988 with the idea of raising miniature horses as an alternative to the riding horses we had previously enjoyed.  When we attended our first show we were "hooked" on raising and exhibiting show horses.  We feel that we have achieved this goal over the years by raising our own winning foals, as well as purchasing several top mares and stallions with pedigrees that trace back to Bond Sir Galahad, Alvadar's Double Destiny, Lazy N's Little Man, Lazy N Red Boy, Boone's Little Buckeroo, Sid's Rebel, Little King's Alfalfa Pleasure, FWF Little Wardance and others.

Polly Weisberg has been showing miniatures since the inception of Los Arboles Miniature Horse Farm in 1988. Polly shows in Amateur Level II, and has had many Top Ten Honor Roll awards in halter, as well as many Top Tens at Nationals in Amateur Halter and Showmanship. Polly is a past president of the Southwest Miniature Horse Club, a past director of The American Miniature Horse Association, past Amateur Committee Chairperson, as well as a long-time member of the Show Rules Committee.

Ann Dwyer, trainer and horse manager for Los Arboles, has ridden horses all her life, and has been training and showing miniatures for over twenty years. For many years she owned Southdown Farms Training Center in Magnolia, Texas, where she claims to have had the greatest group of clients a trainer could ask for. Now training and handling the breeding program for Los Arboles and the Weisbergs, she has hands-on charge of all the horses, and is always ready to lend a helping hand to beginners in the industry, or to show off her small friends. Ann is a lifetime member of the AMHA, and was on the Show Rules Committee for many years.

We recently brought back two World Championships and two Top Tens.

We are looking forward with great excitement to the 2008 foaling season. We have had a great 2007 and expect this season to be even better with mares bred to some of the top stallions in the Nation. We can't wait - they will start arriving in early January.
